Read between the lines

2 photos of my girlfriend, one on top of the other. She's laughing in the main photo, but crying in the other. It seems like everyone has this duality, you try to put on your smile for others, but sometimes you are crying inside.
I think it's hard to tell that she's crying, I didn't get the detail as well as I would have liked to. I'll probably use this effect again sometime, but I'll have to make sure both photos come across alright in monochrome.
Mainly I posted this because I really want to get back on track with developing my creativity and photo-manipulations. I felt like I needed to get something up to break the long hiatus.
